On Keith Olbermann

Interesting thoughts from Ezra Klein on media bias in the wake of Olbermann’s suspension from MSNBC.

Upon reflection, MSNBC had the right to suspend Olbermann for a policy violation, but the policy itself seems rather odd since MSNBC has profited from Olbermann’s public support of progressive politics.  Claiming that Olbermann is a news program while Scarborough is an “opinion journalist” (the supposed distinction justifying Olbermann’s suspension, but not Scarborough’s) doesn’t hold water if you spend a few minutes watching the two shows.
